The company has decided in the end not to use my redesign of their website, therefore my version is available here as an archive.

Design Notes:

Technologies used: XHTML, CSS, JavaScript, Flash & XML

• Complete redesign of current website of a company called Regent Kitchens to conform to current W3C standards
• Discussed with client what was needed in the new design
• Designed a template that is based upon current inhouse brochures and other literature
• Reused current website contents in new design
  • rearranging the content,
  • correcting many spelling and grammar errors,
  • correcting invalid code,
  • removed formatting in the HTML and placed it in an external CSS file
• Created a Flash slideshow to show the various kitchen designs available for sale in their showroom - the resulting SWF file has all of the slideshow data (i.e. photos, thumbnails, kitchen design names) contained in an external XML file for easy updating
• Produced the final redesign and delivered the website files to the client
