Tony takes a rounded view of events

In the pantheon of Big 1970's Concept Albums, Genesis' 1974 opus The Lamb Lies Down On Broadway is often fingered as one of the guilty parties. However, 27 years on, it stands up on its own two (four?) feet, and drew record crowds when we performed the beast in its entirety at G2 - the 2001 Genesis Fan Convention to over 1,300 Genesis fans in March 2001.

After the dust had settled, we were asked by fans and venues alike if a repeat was on the cards - and in the Autumn of 2001, we did so.

We're also glad to let you know that the video of the performance is now available from QED Recording Services Limited, with excerpts from the "Encore Set" which features both Jamie and old boy Nigel Appleton drumming in harmony (or whatever drummers sound like when they're drumming together).

We've also finished work on a live CD of the G2 performance, which is now available from Mystic Records, and you'll soon find a couple of snippets of audio here.

The Lamb tour was the biggest (in terms of venues and production) we'd attempted, and the final date saw us play to a capacity crowd for our first gig at the Astoria.
